Dumbell Nebula
(aka Messier 27) – is a OIII (Oxygen III) heavy emission neula about 1360 Lightyears from earth. It sits in the Velpecula constellation (I’ve never heard of that one either 🙂 . Its considered a ‘planetary nebula ‘-nothing to do with planets – but actually its ionized gases from a nearby white dwarf star

Trifid Nebula (M20)
This is the Trifid Nebula (aka M20) – in Sagitarius – Whats cool about this is its actuall 3 different phenomena
1- the pink section in the moddle is an HUGE Hydrogen emission nebula
2- the dark ‘crevices’ in the middle are dark nebula
3- the very bright stars are part of an Open Cluster (a group of 3,100 stars that maintain a gravitational attraction
Captured on 7/13/2024 on C8 – with ZWO 2600mm (Ha, SII, OIII filters). 3 hours total exposure
